Winning Grants in Today's Funding Environment
Live Workshop | September 24, 2026 Imani Black Studios I 2709 Main Street Dallas TX 75226 9:00am-2:00pm CST $495
A well-written proposal cannot fix a poorly designed project, the wrong funding opportunity, unclear outcomes, or an organization that is not ready to manage the award. This five-hour intensive starts before the writing. We will examine the strategic decisions that make grant proposals stronger and work through practical approaches you can apply to your organization, program, or next funding opportunity.
Teresa was instrumental in the University of Texas at Arlington securing our Data-to-Action for Parenting Students at Texas Colleges and University Grant this year through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The application process required a quick turn-around and input from multiple campus partners. She quickly developed a timeline for completion, as well establishing specific content to address based on the grant's criteria. Using our guidance around our overall goals with the project, she helped with grant writing and organized information that will serve us well even during the grant cycle. Thank you!
- Dr. Michelle Kelly, Assistant VP Health and Wellbeing
Teresa's support was instrumental in designing and completing our grant proposal at Front Range Community College. Her structured approach helped streamline our time and process. Teresa's expertise was critical for ensuring that we included the right content in the right manner, designing a proposal that we were proud of - and completed in record time. We look forward to working together again at the next opportunity.
-Dr. Alana Olschwang, Vice President, Strategy and Innovation
Selecting the right consultant means developing the strongest proposal possible, and Vision Shift Catalyst was absolutely the ideal partner for such a complex and rigorous challenge. Their wealth of experience, professionalism, focus, acumen, and knowledge were second to none. We were kept on task from start to finish, and were even able to submit our application well before the deadline. This was one of the most rewarding and seamless grant writing experiences in the history of our institution.
- Dr. Anthony Santamaria, Provost and Senior VP for the Division of Academic Affairs
Moore Street Foundation was introduced to Vision Shift Catalyst, LLC in 2023. The Board of Directors wanted to expand programming and needed funding. A grant proposal was written by Vision Shift Catalyst, and we were awarded over $1 million dollars. We are so pleased to continue providing family engagement and student services in our community. We are excited and this happened because of the professional and talented efforts of Vision Shift Catalyst, LLC.
Jean Johnson, Executive Director
It was a pleasure to collaborate with Vision Shift Catalyst on a competitive proposal for the Department of Education's GEAR UP program. From start to finish, Dr. Pinckney was transparent and detailed about what to expect, the key check-in points, and what data was needed. During our initial meeting, a timeline was created around our availability and aligned with check-in points from both parties, ensuring the proposal was ready well ahead of our institution's deadline. She was very responsive whenever we had questions or needed clarification. Fayetteville State University was funded in the amount of $5.9 million.
